Here’s what we’ve been working on

Changing the Culture of Inner City Youth 

Ocean City Aquariums in Chicago, Illinois believes in our future—our youth! Our goal is to provide a vehicle for inner city youth to have access to the many mysteries of the world of marine biology. By exposing the youth to interactive masterpieces that serve as a connection to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), we ignite their imagination by aligning marine biology with their everyday curriculum.


We create an ONSITE FIELD TRIP TOUCH TANK EXPERIENCE for our students. This covers birthday parties, school parties, after-school programs, and so much more.

Step 1 

Through education and hands-on experiments, the Ocean City Aquarium’s program is a tool to excite students about STEM by engaging them in the wonders of the aquatic world.

Step 2 

Through engaging in-group demonstrations, live experiments, and scientific observations, students will investigate the effects of natural events and human activities on local ecosystems.

Step 3 

We expose students to various professional fields related to marine life including:

  • Marine Biology
  • Oceanography
  • Marine Biotechnology
  • Molecular Biology

…to name just a few! 

Step 4 

Through exquisite pieces of artwork that will enhance the décor of any school, Ocean City Aquariums creates a calming environment for our youth, making each day a new day to learn about the mysteries of ocean life.

The Minds of the Youth Are Sponges 

By introducing a new culture to the environment, we unlock the future to innovative minds, which will catapult our city to lead the nation in the area of marine biology.
